Even though the story is simple and predictable, I was overwhelmed by how much of emotion The Artist bring with less sound and hardly dialogue. The acting, music, and visual are surprisingly believable. It’s a whole new cinematic experience to watch a silent movie in this era where everything is all about extravagant visual and sound effects. The Artist is original, enchanting, gracefully directed, and one delightful art to watch.

Also, don’t make me start on Jean Dujardin’s mesmerizing charms.

This was a very well-made film and had its moments where it captures the whole spirit and essence of the silent film era but it’s not that life-changing experience that everybody says it is. Still, a good flick though and I do think it does still deserve the Best Picture Oscar just because I don’t think The Descendants would be a very good winner that will last for the ages. Good review.
